History of Panama of the Caribbean

 Dive into Panama

Like most countries, Panama has its own background. While being known for its beauty in scenery and livestock, the life and energy it gives off has the travelers and indigenous people entuned and active. As most people think of Panama part of the Caribbean island it's location doesn't classify it as an island. It is a bridge connecting both North and South Americas'.

A fun fact about the island itself and how it came to be, it was one of the Spanish Colonies it exist in the "New World". Spain made Panama “the door to the seas and key to the universe" in the 1530's. The island was originally meant for increasing the power to the Inca Empire. It was in about the 19th century when they exported the natural riches such as gold and silver and imported it back to Spain.

Later on they broke free from Spain, like the States from Europe, started building their own way. In 1914, roughly, they became a checkpoint for ships going to California. They created the Panama Canal connecting both Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The USA took control of the Panama Canal in the year 1999. Panama in the first time in any independent countries history, is in control of the national territory.
